Problems installing XP on a Hitachi SATA150 hard drive
Hi,
I decided to format my hard drive and do a clean install of Win XP following a bunch of problems I'd been having. Everything goes fine with the installation (including the 'F6' drivers), but I'm getting the following error message:
Cannot load file UlSata.sys
If you are installing Windows XP from a CD, make sure the CD is in the drive.
To skip this file, press ESC
To retry, press ENTER

Thing is, I have checked the floppy disk, and the file is on there!
If I skip the above file, I get the following:
Cannot load file ptipbm.dll
If you are installing Windows XP from a CD, make sure the CD is in the drive.
WARNING - Skipping this file may cause Windows to work incorrectly...
I skip that file, and get the following:
Cannot load file UlSata.inf
blah blah blah
I have checked the floppy disk and all the above files are present!
Anyone??? This is driving me up the wall. I've been trying to fix this for over a week now!
My specs:
ASUS A8V Deluxe Wi-Fi Motherboard (socket 939)
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (socket 939)
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200 Memory
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Onboard sound
Hitachi 160GB SATA150 HDD
Sony DVD-ROM
Sony DVD +/- R/W
Windows XP Home (SP1)
420W Power Supply
Thank you!!
