Yeah, ive tried copying the files, and files that have been ripped by a drive other than my own play fine, but when i copy the files across the jumping effexct is coppied with the files, this could be due to only using WMP to quickly rip some files to check.
with regards to trying other software i totally agree with you about WMP but sadly winamp and light alloy media players are both also affected by the probllem.
