Power on Password
hi everyone. i have a compaq presario 2500 laptop that has a power-on password. it belongs to my wife. yesterday i was about to do some maintanence on it and asked her to remove her power-on password for me so i wouldn't have to ask her to type it in every time i had to reboot. she went into the bios and where it asks for the new password she hit the enter key, as there was nowhere for her to simply remove the password. now it will not take the old password and the enter key doesn't work either. i have not been able to get around this. any ideas? i'm getting desperate at this point.
