New DVD drive not appearing on My Computer
OK, i have tried everything on this. Tonight i just bought a new DVD Burnner to upgrade from my CD Burnner and DVDROM Drive. I pulled the two out and placed the new DVD Burnner in. Nothing shows up, and i double checked the conections, then went through device managment looking for red or yellow flags. I didnt find any, so i went ahead and uninstalled the drives and restarted and still nothing shows up. I also tried the Filter Regedit trick, but it didnt work either. I know its not the drive because it shows up in BIOS and on start up. Another odd thing is that i put the other drives back in just to see what would happen, and it read everything right away...Im thinking its something to do with the drive letters were assigned specifiacally for those drives and its conflicting. I dont know how to fix this if that is the problem, so can someone please help..Thanx
