Word in Works and Word
I have Works version 8 on my computer and have a CD from Law Pack which requires Word 6. The forms will not open in Works 8 which includes Word for Works and which I had assumed was version 6. Must I buy Word 6 if indeed it can be bought separately if I am to use my software or how can I get it to open in Word for Works 8? However, I thought the version of Word in Works 8 was in fact a cut down version of Word 6. The documents I need to open from the Law Pack CD are complex legal form templates.
I am rather annoyed with Amazon because in their description system requirements do not say anything about needing Word 6 or indeed Word at all and in fact they say the software runs on W95 which I thought predated Word 6?
EDIT: I have looked at the files on the CD using the Explore facility and have tried to open them directly from Word in Works. I get cannot load Word for Windows 6 files. The files are actually showing as Wordpad files but that won't open them either so wonder if it's a Law Pack issue? I am running XP Pro SP2.
