Shut down issue.
I recently did a fresh install of Windows ME on a Compaq Presario 5452 computer.I would have gone with Win XP, but some of the drivers were not available for XP. Prior to that Windows 98SE was on the box. The install went ok, and all of the dvices are working. However in device manager under sound video, and game controllers, i have two listings for gameport joystick ( one is disabled ), and under System devices, there is a yellow exclaimation mark next to motherboard resourses. Like I said eveything seems to be working fine, but when I go to shut the computer down, it will hang at the "it is now safe to turn off the computer " message.
I double checked all of the settings in the BIOS, even tried another PSU, with no luck.
I Would at least like the box to shut down completely like it did before the upgrade.
Thanks for any help.
