wireless connection cannot access internet
Hello,
Ive just recently setup a new wireless connection after my equipment was fried in an electrical storm. (I unplugged the power but not the phone line and my lan ports on the modem, router and pc were all fried.)
Anyway PC 1 is connected to the router via wire, pc2 pc3 and a laptop all connect via wireless.
They all connect to the wireless connection no problems and WEP is enabled, in the router.
However only the laptop is able to connect to the internet.
PC 2 and PC 3 cannot connect to the internet.
I have DHCP on in the router but PC 1 has a static IP of 192.168.0.100 (Because I use azureus on this pc.)
The laptop can obtain an IP automatically from the router and is 192.168.0.113.
PC 2 when set to obtain an ip from dhcp cannot acquire an IP address no matter how many times I try. Ive done a DNS flush etc but no luck.
If I set PC2 to a static IP of 192.168.0.112 I still cannot get onto the internet.
I am also not able to ping the router or PC 1 from PC 2 either.
All firewalls are disabled no spyware or viruses. Im at a loss as to why PC2 wont get an IP address from the router when the laptop will.
