Windows Vista Driver Problems
I am not a tech just a home user!!
I am using a Dell Dimention 4700 machine W/ 2.5 GB ddram and geforce660 Graphics card with 256 DDR memory onboard.
2 300 gb Hard drives one with Windows XP and the other with Windows Vista Home Premium set up as a duel boot.
When I got home with my new Vista I installed Vista on my second HDD ant fired it up and low and behold I could get no drivers to install. So I had no internet; No sound. I could not install any drivers for any of my Hardware.
Makeing lots of phone calls I got the Idea that If I were to install Windows XP on my second HDD and installed Hardware Drivers in XP and then upgraded to Vista that maby vista would pickup the Drivers.
Well it Worked on my Machine.
Just wanted to share this with others before they pulled thier hair out and wished they never Got Vista.
