9950 is not supported on MB version 1.0 you can check on the retail box the rev # is on the box. Rev 2.0 does support the 9950 with latest bios.

Clean HSF tape off use artic silver, better yet use Arctic-Cooling-MX-2-MX2-Thermal-Compound-4g-for-Gamers.
phew, good job its rev 2.0 then!!!
have no idea what the bios number is as the pc is now in bits. i have managed to get the tape off. started to straighten the pins with the credit card process; got to get a magnifier as there are some a little more bent and i cannot actually see what im doing....!!
