Wireless USB Adapter
Background Info;
Dell Vostro, 2GB Ram, XP Pro.
The system has a standard ethernet card built on mobo. Works fine. Client wants PC in another room on wireless. Installed Belkin wireless usb. Utility shows SSID, device manager shows Belkin wireless, network connections shows wireless. The problem is, I have set the wireless router for mac filter. When I go to DOS prompt and do an ipconfig /all, the ethernet card shows up with mac address, the wireless does not show up at all. Thinking there is a problem with the Belkin I bought a new Dlink and installed only to discover it does the same thing. What gives, anyone have any ideas as to why the wireless won't resolve and show IP and Mac?
TIA
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!
