win32 application won't print on w7 x64
Hi,
Just installed a W7 pro x64 for a client on a new machine, And managed to install an old xp program (it's an old client database for optometrists - something from the late 90's).
The program required me to run it's setup (I ran it as admin in xp sp3 compatibility mode), And also require to copy LEAD TOOLS dll's and Ocx's to \\syswow64 folder.
The program works fine, But for some reason I can't print to local or networked printer. I tried even printing to a virtual pdf printer (Dopdf 7), But it just does not print.
Printing test pages and printing from other program works fine.
I'm afraid it has to do with the fact that the system is 64 bit based and therefore it's printing drivers too.
The only thing I thought to do is to connect an old computer they had and use it for printing only (THey need to print once every few days from this program).
I also thought about the option of running the program on SBS 2003 which they use as a file server.
What do you suggest ? any workaround ?
Thank you
