This is one that I was thinking about the other day...
The company I work for is a pretty well established company. They have outsourced themselves to major businesses to provide for their IT needs. I am working out at one of their two huge accounts. This one I am at is a "health care institute" and we have had this contract for 5 years. During those 5 years they have given us more and more responsibilities and duties each time. My company is proving to be a huge asset out there. Here is where it gets interesting...
They have an IT staff there and we are doing the job better and more efficient than they do. There is an animosity that alot of them show towards us. Dont get me wrong, there are alot of good people in that IT department.... BUT.... there are alot of lazy a$$ idiots there too. I noticed one help desk ticket that came to us where the first guy didnt do nothing to it for two days, passed it on to another guy (who has been known to come into work at 9 or 10 am and leave at 2pm) and that guy sat on it for two days before he passed it on to us. And once we get out there, we receive the backlash... "Its about time you got out here. I put this ticket in a week ago." AND it was something that we fixed in an hour.
Now... here is the question.
How many of you guys are in similar work situations and notice this from the main IT staff?
