    Post ditching direct x 8

    i installed direct x8 and i hate it. however i cant remember how to ditch it. any suggestions?

    After installation, the DirectX 8.0 run time cannot be uninstalled. DirectX is a system component. It cannot be uninstalled without reinstalling your operating system.

    so after installing direct x8 there is no way to revert back to an iolder version? ever since ive installed dx8 my gaming sucks.
