    Post exchange diectory will not start

    After examining microsofts knowledge base found that exhange directory service will not start because of virus protection. Error 2048 event id 1002 with error 1811. Tried to reinstall exchange (5.5) but it fails because it can't start directory service. Any ideas? <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

    System is NT 4 with sp6a by the way. Tried disabling virus protection too.

    I'm at home, so I don't have access to it right now, but I could look it up tomorrow for you.

    You have the Exchange Server running on an NT 4.0 "Server" right?

    Yes it's server, should have mentioned. Looked for papers, might have checked technet but can't remember. Been a long weekend. Appreciate the help.
