    Smile ArcServeIT 6.xx

    Hi All,

    I am running ArcServeIt 6.6x SP2 on the backup server. The problem i am having is that i have two server (lets call them Server A and B)

    Server A - Has Exchange 5.5, Oracle 8i and SQL server 7

    Server B - Has Oracle 8i

    I cannot have the ArcServe Backup Agents installed on Server A for Exchange, Oracle, and SQL Server.

    Is there some thing that i'm missing.

    If i have Exchange - SQL and Oracle don;t work and well you get the gist.

    Any Ideas

    Welcome to the wonderful world of CA (Computer Assassins).

    Unfortunately there are about a hundred reasons why you are having these problems, number one being CA couldn't make a decent piece of software to save its life.

    I recommend going to http://esupport.ca.com and creating an account, then you can log into their forums. I get more help their from other people struggling with the product then from CA themselves. The funny thing about that is my company is supposed to be a VIP partner with them. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Unfortunately iamtheman is right, CA's support is probably the worst in the industry. Do you have all the service packs for ArcServe - I know there are some critical ones for the 6.xx versions.

    Have you gone to http://support.ca.com and search their knowledge base for any hints or clues? You might get lucky...

    Hi All,

    Sorry, I have Winnt 4.0 Server Enterprise Addition running Service Pack 6a

    I will have a look under the forums area.

    What other backup software is available that does SQL,Oracle,Exchange ???
