general tip to get it to run make sure the drivers are current or update drivers for the system

Is it a fresh install fo the game? I have seen that happen when people just move the game from their old HDD to their new one. Some things are set durring install that are assumed to be the same every time you boot the game.

Check your AGP mode. You might have been at 2XAGP before and 4XAGP with the new.

OK, a quick backup--Is the Viper new as well? If so, try your old Video Board in the newer setup and see if the games run better. If the Viper was in your old system I'd bet your old MB didn't support the 4X. If that's the case knock down the new setup to 2X and see if that helps.

I would try to Update the graphic adapter's Chipset driver with latest one.
I encountered almost the same problem with Riva TNT Chipset (diablo II fu#$ed up) when i replaced the chipset's driver it all worked fine.

Regarding the TNT ultra, I highly suggest downloading the reference driver set, rather than using the card manufacturer's. The newest set of nVidia Detonator drivers should be able to solve this...very similar to problems I had with System Shock II and Flight Sim 2000....

I had the same thing happen to me. Install the referance driver and that should take care of the problem.
