    Thumbs down

SAGER notebooks suck *** dude dont buy one. When i used to work as a tech i used to get people who brought in their Sager notebooks and these notebooks are really flaky. After a while of use it physically starts to come apart. If i were you id buy a IBM or a Dell.

Actually my company has sold and used Sager NB for some time, and have had very few issues with their 3300, 3360, 2850 series. The only real issues we have had involve some random glitches with NB with DVD drives, however Bios upgrades seem to eliminate this. As to shoddy construction, I haven't honestly seen any indications of this. My techs enjoy working on them much more than, say Toshiba, or (shudder) Compaq.

I have had a 50/50 expirience with them. My biggest complaint is that they stop supporting their product before it is really that old. I know technology moves, but it is their stuff! Over all not bad, but I would recommend a Toshiba!

Well I think for the most part every product will have fans and detractors, like I said, my general opinion of Sager has been mostly good except for the DVD issue, their techs have been mostly helpful, and have kept me up to date with changes and pricing. Admitedly their aftermarket support isnt the greatest: but I can barely call any NB manufacturer's aftermarket support "exceptional." Duno if that helps, sometime just take a chance at it.

    Red face

I cant really say whats going on with the newer ones, they may be building them better, but the older ones with the original Pentium's and the AMD K6's sucked and sucked bad. Id never seen such a cheaply made laptop in my life. On one of the laptop's i was working with the lady had duct tape on the battery pack because it had came loose and another customer's had the mouse pad not work for him, the mouse pad on it was totally screwed i could hardly move it and when it did it would move off to the sides and wouldnt move in the direction i wanted it to go. I dont know, but ill tell you this, i have two IBM laptops and i love them id never buy any other laptop besides an IBM Thinkpad.

I have sold and serviced over a hundred Sager notebooks over the last 5 years, although very few this year. They have been very nice notebooks. Occasionally one or two has had a problem, but no more than any others out there. Support on them does suck. You often have to leave a message and have them return your call with any tech support issues but their turnaround within the first year is outstanding. After the first year....??? Well, just don't have problems. (And I have had very few). Good luck,
