    Post dsl router

Ok, first off I'm sorry I know this has been covered but the search feature is working for me right now. I just signed up for Earthlink DSL and they use a PPPOE for access. I am now looking for a router that supports pppoe so I don't have to run the program on my computer. I would like it to be a 4 port switch also so that I can hook my other computers up to it. Built in firewall is a must. I have seen good things from a couple different companies but don't know who I should go with. What are you opinions?

The products you're speaking of are referred to as "Cable/DSL Routers." The vast majority of these support PPPoE. I'm not aware of any out there that don't. I haven't used any of these personally, but the Netgear comes to mind as the one with the least trouble. The SMC Barricade has been also spoken of highly.
