 IRQ Problem Need Help
How can i chanege IRQ setting an AGP video card. The setup that i have right now is an IRQ 9. It should be setup an IRQ 11.

What operating system are you using and why do you need the video card to use a specific IRQ? The PCI/AGP bus auto assigns IRQ's in conjunction with the PlugNPlay OS, and generally you can't manually assign them without a bit of difficulty.

i'm using win 2000. Most of my stuff is on IRQ 9. Like Netowrk Adapter Sound Video card. The thik is when i'm trying to use 3d Software or play 3d game the system just freez.

It is perfectly normal for multiple devices to share the same IRQ in Windows 2000 and XP, check <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q252420" target="_blank">this article</a> for more info. I don't recommend disabling ACPI and reinstalling Windows as described in this article, as some things in Windows (power management for one) won't work properly anymore.
If you want to know for sure if the IRQ "conflict" is causing your problem, disable the sound card and network card in device manager and try starting a 3d game/app. Personally, I'm guessing that the issue is video driver or BIOS related, but anything is possible.
Give us a little information about your computer. And when did the problem start happening?

Mac, I've seen this scenario several times ni 2k and XP where something is sharing with the video card, and they dont like it at all. Especially the nVidia cards. I had this problem not long ago with my GF 4 Ti, and no matter how much I rearranged the IRQ's, the system would crap out at the site of any game. After 3 days of messing with it, I reinstalled, and it worked perfectly.

it's look's like there is problem with this becouse it not only dosent want to work an one computer. i have 2 computers and both have the same NiVida chip sets and both have ASUS MB. tey just dont work.
I call tech support for Video card they told me to change IRQ from 9 to 10 or 11 and should be fine. The problem is that i really can't do it.
the other think is that an win 98 ther sould be no problems.

Go into your bios and under plug and play OS select no
This should be in your boot order screen
This should force Windows to use the IRQ's assigned by the bios
I have seen Win 2k even change the IRQ settings of cards and put them all on IRQ 9, I guess MS does not know about IRQ settings
If that occurs change the Computer from ACPI to standard PC , This should fix it
If not reinstall WIn 2k <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
