    Exclamation BIOS settings

I was wondering how to save the bios settings to a disk and then make it bootable to load the settings automatically on boot. I have done it before, but can't remember how.

Most of the newer Compaq's have that feature built into the CMOS. Enter setup, and choose File, then Save Settings to Diskette.

You can also write a debug script that will save all the registers from f000-ffff (BIOS location) to a file. It's been a while since I've done that, so check out a book on Assembly code and write one yourself. I have a bunch of COM files I wrote for various things, but I haven't done any of that in about 5 years.

    Good luck (-:

i remember there being a program that will do that - but i dont see the need, slota.com - i think that is where i last saw it.
it was used for changing to cache speed on athlons - without flashing the bios.
like i said - i dont know for sure...
