Linksys Switch Problem
Hey all,
Thanks for taking your time to read me post, here goes. I have a Linksys DSSX24 24-port 100 base switch. Its all we use for our whole network, pretty much a 15 station network. Yesterday the whole network went down. Like three of the computers could atleast ping each other or themselves if they were lucky. After some tinkering I unplugged the switch and plugged it back in and the network was back up. But the router wasn't working. It turned out that the port(plug 24) the router was in wasn't working, but did work in port 16. I plugged my computer in port 24 and my computer could not get a link light. Anyone have this problem, we're going ahead and ordering a new switch. The switch was purchased in May, 2000 from Ingram Micro, I'm guessing I have to RMA this through Linksys, how is Linksys's Support and RMA'ing? Thanks all.
Tony

Oh yeah, no surges or construction or anything like that yesterday when it happened or anytime before or after the incident.
