    Resolved [RESOLVED] Ram Tester

Does anyone know of a RAM Tester that only does good/bad tests? We have a few pieces go bad every day and I would like to be able to find out if is really bad or might be something else. I need something hardware, not software as testing it in a machine takes too long. The only thing I can find are complete testers that report too much information.

    Thanks for any Help

We have one that tests 72 and 168 pin sticks. I have never used it, so I can not tell you much. It is made by Darkhorse Systems/Tanisys Technology. Their website is www.tanisys.com.

Go to a computer show. The vendors sometimes will check your memory for you

Wooh guys, memory testers are much more expensive, check this:

Looking at $2000 +. At work we have a SIMM tester and at the time (four years ago) it was $3000.

Yes these RAM testers are very expensive. And yes there are some vary good software program that can help. If the price of a tester is a problem then try Gold Memory. This program only tests memory. I've used it once and then crossed checked the results with two other programs that like YOU said come back with all sorts of info. It checked out and the RAM was REPLACED.

Here is a lower cost option (compared to other hardware that is):
