    D**n! You guys are awesome! I've been into computers for 4 years and have never run into this issue. I was sure the audio cable was bad! This just shows me you can never learn enough about computers. Thanks to you all!

    By installing CDReader, you haven't fixed the original problem, merely found a workaround solution...albeit a good one, credit where credits due. It would have been nice to have found the original cause of the trouble. :/
