    Post Beep from Abit SH6

    Just after the bios detects the HDD, CD etc I get a beep just before "starting windows98" appears, any suggestions as to what this is? system seems to work with no obivous problems. <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

    One single beep after power on self test or POST is indicative of an all is well as far as the computer goes. Beep codes other than a single beep are used to indicate a problem with video or memory as well as other things.
