RAM Amounts
I know that Win98 is supposed to have a problem with extra large amounts of RAM. I've also heard people say that setting your swap file (I call it a swap file for 9x and a page file for 2K... weird, huh?) to RAM x 2.5 is the way to make it stable. Then there was the time when you were supposed to set it to 2.5 x RAM to optimize performance.
I've got a full gig of RAM in my Win98SE machine, and it's been running beautifully for most of a year. The only reason I even need a swap file is because Adaptec says you can't create a CD without enough space in the swap file for a CD. Strange that.
Anywho... general questions...
Who's running how much memory on 9x and getting away with it?
AND
What are the secrets to making 9x run smoothly with much RAM?

Before you get too excited about swap files, with that much memory you need to get 9x to use all of it's physical RAM first so try changing this
In system.ini change the ConservativeSwapFileUsage from 0 to 1 this should be in the 386 Ehh section.
This will make 9x use RAM first before your swap/page file. For Any machine with more than 128mb you should see an improvement. Just a note of caution if you are a games player then some games try to do memory management themselves you may find games won't run (out of memory errors).
