Outlook XP (2002) Public Folders
I'm having problems with using hyperlinks to access public folders in Microsoft Outlook. When you point the link (or use the run menu, i.e. outlook://public folders/foldername) to a specific public folder, it will open it without problems in outlook. But when you try to open a Document, or a PPT file or any other file within that folder, it comes up with "Unable to display the selected item or folder". This feature works perfectly in Office 2000, but the users with XP can't do it. You can browse to the specific item in outlook, but when you try to open it using a link, or the run menu, it complains with an inability to display it. I've tried using the item's long file name, DOS file name, and using %20 instead of spaces. Any ideas?
Hard work often pays off in the long run, but Lazyness always pays off now.
