Slot A K7V-RM problem with posting! Urgent!!

I'm building a machine for a customer with a Slot A Atlon, using a ASUS K7V-RM motherboard. And 256 megs Pc100 DIMM.

The system Won't post. It gets as far as "Award Plug And Play Bios Extension Version 1.0A".. You Can't get into the bios.

You can't update the bios because It simply doesnt boot that far.

*Tried Jumperless Mode
*Set The Jumpers Manually
*All multipliers, Voltages, and Bus Speeds.
*Removed All Cards, and Changed video.
*Tried Diff Cables, 40 Pin and UDMA 80 Pin
*Disconnected All Drives.
*Tried Diff Keyboard, Mouse...

Still No Avail.. Anyone with any Idea Please HELP!

Check the memory, could bad a stick!!

Check under the CPU... you will find a little tag (it's the heat sensor..) make sure it's pushed all the way down and not toughing the CPU, cause the processor gets to about 70 deg C as soon as you turn it on. May help!!!!

If you are not able to POST try this remove the board from the case and ground it. Next try booting again if boot is successful then your problemis in proper grounding of the MB.
Step 2.) Check your Memory ie is it PC-100, PC-133. Switch the memory and try again.
Step 3.) Should be step 1.) Pull the board and check all jumper settings ie .. CPU.. Memory...Clock.. Voltage..

Tried Diff Ram
There is NO heat sensor, that is optional.

It turns on... IT shows it's a 900 with 256 megs ram. It just freezes

Did the grounding than already that isnt it.
