    Arrow logon scripts

    Hello,

I'm looking for any information in regards to the creation of logon scripts, specifically for windows 2000. If anyone knows of any good links for this, can you please post them here?

    Thank you !

The logon scripts we use where I work are DOS batch files. They are in c:\winnt\system32\repl\import\scripts. This folder is shared as NETLOGON. The main thing that we use them for is to map network drives(NET USE X: \\SERVER\SHARE). I know that you can do more scripting like backing up a file to a server, but I have never done stuff like that.

The above information is for NT 4.0 servers. I would assume that Win2K would be similar since they are keeping WinNT as the system folder name.

    Hope this helps.

I wish they had Doom for OS/400...that would be some treat!

Thanks for your reply, but I'm looking for something a little more involved then the basics like mapping network drives.

First off, no, logon scripts are in a different folder. Remember Win2k has Active Directory. Scripts are located in \sysvol\sysvol\%domainname%\scripts

For logon script information go here http://www.labmice.net/Admin/default.htm

Labmice will give you links to MIcrosofts page and some others that have info on Logon Scripts and all that good stuff. Microsoft has recently changed their site so I am not sure if labmice updated the links entirely.
