    Post MicroStar Mobo's

A salesperson here asked my opinion on this Mobo as far as reliability and such but I have never used one in my life so I was wondering if any of you have experienced them and how are they as far as stability and such. This board is the only one he can find that meets all the customers specs and we would like to know how stable it is before we build a bunch of systems with it.

    Thumbs up

They are not my first choice of boards but the ones that I have built systems with and repaired seem to be pretty stable machines. I see no reason why you shouldn't use them!

I have not had any experience with this model, so I dont think I can help you much. I do know that this is one of the more stable chipsets. Sorry I cant be more help.

I use the Microstar slot A K7Pro, stable as anything. Friend of mine uses the K7T socketA, no problems. My folks use their Super socket 7 board, no problems. The dual board that you mention I have seen good reviews on and would buy myself if I could think of a reason to have a dual setup. MSI boards aren't really talked about because they aren't known for overclocking(but they can). So everyone thinks Abit and Asus are the cream of the crop(not just for overclocking but for their own reasons). MSI boards are made to be stable, thats their first concern, not overclocking, not market share, stabilty, thats all. If the dual board is anything like the quality of their AMD boards I would say you shouldn't expect any problems. I have had Win98SE, WinME, Win2KP, Win2KS, Win2KAS, Mandrake 7.2 all loaded on my computer(not at one time ofcourse) with no hiccups.
