NETWORK PRINT SERVERS
We recently upgraded to Win 2000 Server for our in-store system. We have several dumb terminals and serial printers run from a Specialix IO pad. The problem we are having is with the printers, when we try and run long reports or invoice runs, our printers will very often start to corrupt the data. This I understand from others using our software package, is an issue with Win 2K, the Specialix IO Pad and serial printers. The apparent solution is to use print servers, at this point I have only been able to source parrallel print servers but not any serial ones.
If anyone knows of a make of print server that is serial connection, I would appreciate any information.

Flabooble!
I really don't know if this would work but have you tried a print server with a parallel connector and then use a parallel to serial converter. Anyone know if this would work?

I would set up an old beater (486 or something comparable) with Win95 and use that as a print server. Maybe Novell if you are comfortable with running a Novell server.
