Cool Possible Recall on DFI Mobos

In case there is some other poor slob out there that is having problems with popping noises while playing audio cds or midi files on a computer with the DFI AK74-EC. Stop looking for the problem.

I had a client using this board with a 1gig T-bird that complained of this problem. I searched for a couple of days with no joy. I then called my suppliers tech support division, who in turn, called his supplier, and so on. Eventually we made direct contact with the manufacturer who confirmed that this board has a flaw with the onboard sound that is "hit or miss". Some boards have it, some do not.

Apparently, it is on only the T-bird boards and only when running the 1gig processor. It is still up in the air as to whether or not they will be recalling this motherboard. Hope this helps a few of you out!

Thanks, It seems that Dfi doesn't work very well in last days.. I had a lot of stability probs with Dfi Ak74-sc and you can see the final bios release for Dfi Ak-74-ec...
