    I have a pentium pro cpu and wonder if anyone can tell me some info,

    That not a Pentium Pro , thats a first gen pentium 60. they went in a socket 4 mother board , and , yes , it is MUCH bigger than a socket 5 or 7 (75Mhz-233)that most of us are used to seeing, but it isnt a socket 8.
