Which video to choose?
This will probably stir up the hornets nest but...
I am looking for a new video card. I have read the reviews and looked at pricing. Right now I am trying to choose between the Diamond 770 ultra and the 3DFx 3500. It will be used in an AMD K6-2 machine and will be replacing a Velocity 4400. (good card but lived its life). I play mostly flight simulator games. I should also note that I will be using it in my new Athlon machine until the geforce either comes down in price or gets supported by software makers.
Thanks in advance!

Hope I don't get spanked for this one....I personally would take the 3dfx card, for no other reason then compatibility. Most 3d games (not all) are built to run best on a 3dfx product. If all you are concerned about is gaming, the 3dfx cards are probaply the most reliable.

I would choose 3dfx also for game use. Most games will run on the 3dfx very nicely. I have heard of a lot of problems with the 3500 though. I personaly have a 3000 on my game machine and it works great. A friend has a diamond and he said he thinks its a great card for doing graphics, but will not play his monster trucks very well.
