Question Blue Screen when printing. Assistance please?

Windows 98 box, seems stable, hp 932 inkjet printer.
    Printing test page results in:

A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:0000001. The current application blah blah blah...
The printer then squirts out gibberish.

Just hoping for a quick fix... if any of y'all have advice, I'd love to hear it

1st off, thanks for the speedy response.
I'm definately thinking windows here though, as I have downloaded and installed the newest drivers from hp and removed the old. Also, the printer works fine on my tech machine...

What are some files in windows that I need to be looking at for possible replacement?

    a few suggestions:
1.) Change connection type if printer supports both USB and LPT port hook ups (if LPT hook to USB or vice versa)

2.) change the driver to generic text and print the test page

3.) plug in a different printer install drivers and try.

those tests should give you some information to narrow down your troubleshooting options.
