AMD K-6/2 333 on 66mg bus mobo
I have a customer machine that was built by another company. The machine runs an AMD K-6/2 333 on a TXPRO 2 mobo. The machine runs fairly well but locks up while running multiple applications or under a stress test. It sticks in my mind that this processor requires a 95mhz bus. This would certainly explain my lock ups. Can anyone confirm my suspicion?? Thanks

You would think that 66 mhz would be a more stable setting than 95 mhz. AMD has a few patches. Maybe there is one for the 333.

what bus and multiplier are you running. I have the same combo overclocked slightly 5.5*66 = 366. its in a 66 only board and it runs great.

Thanks for the replys guys. I had standard settings in place for the 333. 5 x 66. Just for giggles I did replace that processor with an AMD 300\2 and it works perfectly. I then took the 333 and swapped it into another board and it also works great!! Go Figure???? Alls well that ends well. The customers happy! Thanks Again
