Read ahead caching?

this is a good question...
WinNT and Win2k don't use the same "troubleshooting" and "performance options" as Win9x and WinME.. - they just don't need it..
I don't think there's any way to disable the read ahead buffer on this plattform..
why would you want to disable it anyway ?

So I can read my data CD's made with Adaptec DiectCD. They dony work unless the cd rom DOES NOT read ahead.
