Ok, are you ready for this?? The owner of this machine has a BackPack CDRW. In the settings for the BackPack he had set the default drive letter to, you guessed it, A:\.
I uninstalled the BackPack drivers and reinstalled them setting the drive letter to the appropriate F:\. hehehe I knew it had to be something simple. Works like a top now. Thanks for the help guys
