Citrix
I have a client who runs a POS application over three locations using Citrix Metaframe on a Windows 2000 Terminal Services server. I am trying to add new woorstations to the network. After I install the Citrix ICA Client it works fine...the first time. But after I disconnect and try to reconnect I get an error message saying "network or dial-up problems are preventing communication with the Citrix Server..." any body have any ideas?

How do you disconnect?
Do you just disconnect the Citrix/WTS session or do you log out of Windows itself?
Logging out of Windows without ending your Citrix/WTS session first may leave the connection active on the server and require a manual disconnection using the server's management tools.
Otherwise, Iv'e seen situations where if more than TCP/IP was bound to the NIC, IPX/SPX for example, connection attempts were made with another protocol first and just timed out. I'm not sure if that would apply in your setup though.

I am pretty sure we log out of the windows session (it looks just like a terminal services connection except a Citrix splash screen) I amgoing to try killing all other protocals.

Exactly how are you creating the connection session? Are you using an Application Set, or a Custom ICA Connection? If using an application set: it is advisable to use the Custom ICA Connection approach when you see this kind of inconsistency with Application Sets. Also, you may need to enter IP address information, verses NetBIOS names when establishing the address list for the server, or Farm of servers, in the “server list” location. Be sure you have the correct network protocol set to primary when creating this list.
Give some more specifics of just how you have it configured, what version of the client you are using, and anything else you can think of.
