    Question Multiple SCSI Cards?

Is there any problem with installing multiple SCSI cards into a single server?

Providing that they have different IRQs assigned, I can't think of any reason why not. I've just never done it. What I'm needing to do is install a PCI SCSI RAID controller into our Compaq Web Server. The server already contains a multifunction card with an existing dual channel SCSI-3. But it's not a RAID card. I need this SCSI still in the system for our DAT. The RAID controller will connect to a 4 bay hot-swappable drive cage. CD-ROM is IDE. Original SCSI for DAT. Does anybody see any problems with this?

There is no problem at all with that scenario if it's a compaq card. If it's not a compaq card it still may work it just may not be as easy to install/configure. I've got three in my box downstairs. One for the internal array, one for the external array, and one for the external backup.

Muchas gracias! Now I just have to convince the boss to buy it. Thanks for the help.
