Sounds like there is a logon script, go into the user manager and see if there are any scripts running for Admin

More to add: The user right next door is running the same login script, image, etc...no problems whatsoever...
When this first started (I was out) and a reimage was done, it was fine for a week, then started again....thing that make ya go...hhmm....

Is this just with THE Administrator account or with any account with administrator priviledges?

Sounds like you have a service that runs under the administrator logon. Have you checked the Event Viewer? Try logging on the buggy machine normaly (nonadmin) and check that event viewer from another machine.
Have you tried logging the startup and examining the log file? Tell me more, and maybe I can help.
