Post DHCP Server on Win2000 Server

I have configured a Windows 2000 Advanced Server Machine as a Domain Controller, and am trying to run DHCP on the machine for our local network, and use it as a router/gateway. Users can logon to the domain successfully, only from Win2000 though, not 98. Having problems figuring this out. In 98, says no domain controller present. Hmm. But when 2k users logon successfully, they don't pick up the DHCP addresses from the Server, and they are configured to Obtain them Automatically at each local machine. My scope is defined on the Server and options for Gateway and DNS servers are configured as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, for DHCP, do I need two NICS on the server?? Any good articles more in depth the MS would also be great. Thanks!!!
