Reinstalling Win98

This is weird... I am reinstalling Win98(1st edition) on a Compaq armada from the c:\windows\options\cabs\setup.exe cabs and it installed ok, no errors, but when it comes up to the "please enter name and company." It doesn't matter what I put in, It comes up with an error that says "setup can not contine to the next screen blah blah error code 5001." Then when you hit ok, it shuts down. everytime. No clue I have never seen this before TIA
