Laptop Boot Up Problem

Dell Latitude 400mhz Laptop. I bought this computer for really cheap and it worked when I got it for like 8 hours, but now when you press the power button it turns on for 2 seconds and then turns right off. I've swapped everything from the memory, hard drive, battery, power supply nothing helps. If anyone has any ideas please post it.

I have an inspiron and it does that sometimes. So what I do is hold the power button down for a couple 2 or 3 seconds and that usually does the trick. Don't know why it does it but it does. Maybe yours has a similar problem. Cheers.

Please post a bit more information about your system so we can help diagnose: model#/system tag, operating system, BIOS version, etc.
