"Remap" utility for IBM HDD's?
I've encountered some hard disk drive manufacturers that leave spare tracks and sectors on their hard drives so you can remap bad sectors to another section of the drive - it isn't a great solution, but it works. Does anybody know if IBM happens to do this? If so, is there a utility available? Does anyone happen to know in general which drives this can be done with?

usually this is done in HW on the drive itself.
