[RESOLVED] MS Word 97 doesn't open properly....

When the user opens word, it seems to open okay but nothing shows on the screen. The word thingie is on the task bar and gives no errors. I can right-click on that and close it... I have reinstalled and uninstalled-reinstalled to no avail. The thing is eveery other office app works fine (excel, powerpoint, outlook,etc) its just work. The user says they experienced a blue screen crash when using the program and haven't been able to use it since.
Any ideas out there, i and frustrated and totally out of ideas althoug I knows is a file or registy prob...

Sounds to me like you have the Class virus! Check your virus scan engine and make sure it's updated. The Class virus gets in through MS Word and stores itself in Word documents, templates. If you take Word out entirely, reinstall it but use those previously saved templates from the hard drive - Class comes back! It shouldn't do any other damage really to the user's other programs or data, but it's a definite pain! Check it out and let me know if that was it!!

Word is in taskbar and no error ?

Looks like you have to use rightmouse button and use restore or maximize. Word is open but is outside the desktop i think.

I was sure I had checked the right click and maximize idea. Oh well. Tahts what worked so I very humblely give my graitude to jdjinside.
