Question about CD-ROM sensitivity
I have a samsung SC-140 and it is super sensitive.
I would like to try and turn the that down.
It really sucks having your CD crushed by he tray door when ou bump the tray only slightly.
I'm kinda looking for something under the hood that i can mess with.
I tried looking for new firmware, but no luck... it probably isn't to big of a deal to samsung..
anyway thanks,
MD

I've noticed the same "sensitivity" with some CD-ROM units made by Creative, but I think you should live with it.

It's probably down to mechanical tolerances, but should be able to be cured with a few more milliseconds of over-run on the tray motor when the Tray Open switch is activated. If Samsung knows of a problem and cares, a firmware update could deal with it, but 'till then I guess AlienDyne said it.
