Excel and Toolbar problems
Ok here is the problem, customer installed pagis pro 3.0 software, messed there computer all up (thats a whole nother book) anyway, when you open excel the dang textbridge little icon is up on the tool bar (driving customer batty i assume) any way I cant get rid of it for anything, anybody got any ideas, ive reinstalled office, searched the registry for anything that might pertain to pagis or scansoft (the maker of it) and tried resetting the toolbar, it just comes back when you close and reopen excel. Thanks in advance.

Have you removed the program? If so try this goto Tools-Customize then hit the reset button after you checked that everything is ok. Hope this helps.

sorry, yes the program has been uninstalled , ive reset the toolbar, it goes away till the next time you open excel then its right back up there.

Search your HD for the folder XLStart (c:\program files\microsoft office\office\xlstart--on mine) and see if there isn't a textbridge hiding there...

I did a search on the entire hard drive for anything textbridge and it came back with nothing, but I will still look there to see what I can find, Thanks for all the replys.

Just a quick added note: the file in XLStart wouldn't necessarily have a name which included anything including "text" or "bridge." If you find anything in that folder just move it somewhere else, launch Excel and see if the problem goes away. If not just put that file back.
