Cool Do You Pray Every Time You Flash A Mobo Bios?

Do You Pray Every Time You Flash A Mobo Bios?

I know I do.. Brand new 2K machine... Dancing around... Please work please work... "God don't let anyone hit the telephone pole outside....." Dances around nervously abit more.

I expecially love it when someone posts the wrong bios update on their website. That's always tons of fun.

BTW if you don't believe in god... you can pray to whoever you feel like so your bios does'nt get B0rked.

I am agnostic so I don't pray, but I do hold my breath and grit my teeth

Flash them all the time before I waste a bunch of time trying to fix a problem that won't....never give it a second thought. Gee, how many have I flashed in the past 15 years? No idea but the only problems I've ever had was a couple of times when a CMOS virus tried real hard to refuse me access. Flashing the BIOS doesn't have to be any scarier than swapping a RAM chip--exactly...no worries.

No praying here, a lot of finger crossing and head turning away so if you cant see the screen it wont have any errors.

luckily in my job I dont have to flash many.

I don't give it a second thought. But on the other hand, if you live in California, your feelings might be different.

I don't worry - at all...Simply because I ALWAYS flashing SPARE flash IC first! Spare flash IC - simple trick, what everyone can afford (new clear flash IC 1-2Mbit chip costs only 5-7 bucks, or even "free",if You pulled it out from faulty MoBo). Not so big money for saving Your ***!
I have posted my few tips here - worth to read, though:

I do not give up posting my BIOS-relayted tips, though - I'll post some another soon... Visit BIOS/MoBo section bit more often, please.

I just hope that the power supply will remain steady during the flashing!
