I'm working on an a Toshiba Portege 2000, loaded with windows xp.

The problem is, the mouse is detected fine, and installed when it's plugged in (usb mouse.) But, it will not work on a reboot. I've looked on kensignton's web site, and at toshiba's. I can't believe i'm asking for help for this little problem, but anyone got any ideas?
