    Question Hardware profiles in 98???

I know you can do it in NT but does anyone know af a way to do it in 98? I have a laptop that is going to used in 4 different buildings, They are all part of the same domain, but on different subnets. Is there a way I can set this machine up so that the user can select which building they are in and have the network settings load appropriately?

    Yes,

You can right click on MyComputer, go to properties, and then Hardware Profiles. FRom there you can copy your existing one, and then add, remove stuff. I use this so when i don't want to use my network, windows loads faster-- i have a "NIC" and "No NIC" profile...

This didnt seem to work, when I change the IP address for one profile it makes the changes to the other profiles as well. Does anyone know of any other way to do this?
